In this project, strengthening the Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) was a key priority to detect unauthorized access at the earliest stage by identifying threats from the outermost layer. Beyond the essential protection that PIDS provides for data centers, OPTEX proposed its Proactive Video Monitoring Solution to enhance the overall security integrity, supporting compliance with data center security standards and protecting critical assets against data theft and operational disruption. The integration of high-accuracy outdoor intrusion sensors with CCTV enables instant alerts and visual verification, ensuring that security teams can respond immediately and maintain continuous, reliable service for customers.

OPTEX’s Proactive Video Monitoring integrates high-accuracy intrusion sensors with CCTV for instant alerts and visual verification, enabling rapid response before damage occurs. 1. Intrusion Detection Sensor: REDSCAN Pro RLS-3060V
Installed on the perimeter fence, this LiDAR sensor “RLS-3060V” creates a virtual laser wall to detect intrusions with high precision. It covers up to 30 × 60 meters per unit and minimizes false alarms. When triggered, linked CCTV footage instantly appears on the server room monitor for visual confirmation.
2. Alarm Monitoring Software: GENIO Map
GENIO Map was deployed in the guard room to send alerts simultaneously to both the server room and the guard room located in a separate building. It displays alarm locations on a map on the PC screen, supports pre-configured workflows for incident handling, and records operator actions in real time.
It enables security guards to take early and prompt action without requiring advanced technical skills.
3. Other Devices
- HWC-1B / GENIO Lite Control panel / ARN Gateway for GENIO Map
- ADAM-6060 Remote I/O Module for communication between buildings; server room and guard house, using the same fiber optic network as the CCTV system, eliminating the need for additional cabling.

REDSCAN Pro minimizes false alarms caused by environmental factors, ensuring high detection performance day and night. It divides the detection area into eight zones, and the sensitivity can be adjusted according to on-site conditions—for example, high sensitivity for a running intruder and medium for climbing attempts.
