The Terrain Defender™ is the buried line sensor providing one-meter target detection. Processors on both ends of this cable pair transmit and receive Radio Frequency (RF) energy, forming a bi-directional static field between two parallel buried leaky coaxial cables using End-to-End Correlation (E2EC™).
E2EC is a technology developed and patented by Fiber SenSys, able to do advanced event management, support zone monitoring and system status display, and provide programmable multi-channel notifications, making the TD100 the best-performing buried sensor available.
Rejection of Multi-Path Interference
Reduces false alarms caused by nearby metal objects, such as fences, where RF signals may “jump” and rejoin the detection field—an issue commonly found in conventional systems. Using E2EC™ with two parallel coaxial cables, the system effectively rejects multi-path interference.
Increased Data for Improved Detection
Collects four times more target data than systems that transmit and receive from only one end of the cable pair, enabling better target discrimination, a higher probability of detection, and a reduced nuisance alarm ratio.
Consistent Signal Level
E2EC™ provides a uniform detection field, improving signal processing performance and allowing greater tolerance for cable depth and spacing, which simplifies installation.
Cut-Tolerant Design
TD100 is the industry’s only cut-tolerant buried sensor system. A single cut in the sensor cable does not result in loss of detection coverage, as both ends continue transmitting and receiving using E2EC™ technology.
