The Fiber Defender® FD322 is designed to detect intruders who attempt to cut through, climb over, or crawl under a perimeter fence. Sophisticated algorithms distinguish between genuine intrusion events and “nuisance alarms” that may be caused by wind or small animals.
Each alarm processing unit (APU) supports two zones, with up to 500 meters of sensing cable per zone. The FD322 employs advanced fiber-optic sensing technology that is resistant to harsh environmental conditions, including UV radiation, moisture, salt, and lightning strikes. Its fiber-in-conduit sensor offers a long service life while remaining value-priced, easy to use, and high performance.
The fiber-optic sensor, cable, and conduit are dielectric and 100% passive, enabling safe operation in areas with high electromagnetic interference as well as in environments with flammable or explosive materials.
The FD322 can be fully integrated with a Central Management System to deliver a complete security solution when combined with other security elements, such as video cameras and third-party devices.
